Well, I say 'one thing', but the truth is there is no 'one punch knockout' when it comes to fighting depression.

I wish I could tell you otherwise. I wish I could guarantee that if you just do 'this one thing' then depression will crumble and you will feel like you again. But I can't.

So how do we fight depression? What can we do when we're feeling overwhelmed with life?

When all you want to know is how to feel happy again, what advice can be offered?

One important lesson I learned is to focus on the small things. In the boxing ring we win one punch, one round at a time. We can apply the same principles to fighting depression. Rather than looking for a power punch, a 'one punch knockout', think instead of using the jab - the small, consistent actions that you can take to help gradually loosen depression's grip.

There's no one-size fits all, and the things that work for me, might not work for you. At Knock Out Depression we recognise that we all need to find 'the right combination' that works for us. These might include setting a healthy sleep routine, having a creative outlet, or taking regular physical exercise.
